No naps

It has been a while since I've "blogged". As usual we have been super busy with everything under the sun. I guess our biggest news is, we are trying to cut out naps for Ella G :) Now those of you who know my child know that this is highly challenging. Actually it is HORRIBLE until she crashes at 8:00 and I'm like this is well worth it. For instance she is now standing on the back of my chair bracing herself with my head!! She becomes completely delirious and bounces off the walls, then whines for an hour and falls asleep. So I guess you could say we are having such pleasant times in the evenings.

This picture my bro took of Ella Grace. He has now turned into a cowboy which I think is hilarious. He decided to put his hat on her and make her pose!!

Deer Season has begun

It's that time of year again when the men in my family disappear for several months. This was the latest kill from my dad and uncle in Illinois. Poor Trev. It was his b-day and he missed three, but shh don't tell him I told you. Apparently that's a big deal or something. It has been such a busy week we haven't gotten to do too many fun things. Went to the game last weekend and FROZE! I thought my face was gonna fall off. But ROLL TIDE! It was worth it. Ella Grace has been in trouble like it is nobody's business. Last night she had to go straight to bed after supper and no TV, no books, nothing. So I told her that people don't like to be around little girls that act bad and don't mind. Her response "well I'm cute though". I had a horrible time keeping a straight face, but i had to explain to her that cuteness ended at four.:)

The Bead

well if you have seen Cassie's blog you have read a story about her friend whose child got a purple bead stuck in her ear. Guess who? Only me. I told her I would kill her if she posted it, but it is TOO funny not to share. So here's how the story goes...I was on the phone and my child of course goes buck wild when I'm talking on the phone. And she was playing with a purple bead that came off of one of her bracelets. Anyway she said "mommy I am going to pierce your ear" well when i said quit, she shoves it down in my ear canal! So I went to my moms to see if she could see and we tried sucking it out with the vacuum...didn't work, tried tweezers...didn't work. Finally Cassie came over and tried her procedures, vacuuming and tweezing(picture this please)...and it still DIDN't work. So my ENT couldn't see me asap this morning and it was really hurting by now so I headed to the ER and after at least an hour of his digging it wouldn't budge. So I ended up having to go to the ENT anyway and they finally got it. And yes it was purple and yes I did wear purple today, but not on purpose. So it's out and it is sore, but at least I can hear now!!!

Halloween

It has been a horribly busy week. I was so excited about Halloween pictures and I haven't even gotten to post them. Ella G was a butterfly. I found the cutest wings at a dance shop I visit quite a bit. We took Hayden and Amanda and Melissa trick or treating and had a ball! Hayden was a rodeo clown. It was the most adorable thing I have ever seen. We went to DCF where I saw Nick Ledlow and Kendal and Jr Romine if anybody remembers him and his wife and little girl. I guess the most eventful thing was in the bouncy this kid who was about three kept body slamming my baby! He would slam her and she'd get back up and he'd slam her again. I got a bit angry and Melissa saw my face turning red and she tried to get his attention, but by this time I had had enough! I started snapping my fingers and saying "NO NO" to somebody elses kid! But seriously watch your kid. Anyway he just looked at me and kept doing it and finally I got a bit closer to the screen and gave him that look like if you don't quit I'm coming in there! So he quit, but I got laughed at by Amanda and Melissa of course. And I finally found the dad, and he was on his cell phone of course, but he was a big guy about six feet or so, so I was glad he didn't see me getting on to his kid!By the way go to www.lawsongallery.com and click on clients. The boo boo

Last night was dance night for Ella G and when we got home as we usually do one of my biggest fears happened. She shut her finger in the car door!!! She screamed of course and it seemed like slow motion. There she was door shut and locked and her finger still in there. I very quickly unlocked the door and got it out, and luckily it's not broken, but it does look pretty nasty. I felt so bad for her. I had to fight back tears so she wouldn't see that I was upset too. I hate that feeling you get when you hear that scream and you know it's bad. But she is much better today. It's just sore of course, but she's acting like herself again.

On a funnier note we always watch "dancing with the stars" as she calls it "dancin in the stars". Anyway, she told me she was gonna be on there one day and i said "yes you are" and then she says "but mommy i don't need a partment cause i dance good all by myself!"I cracked up. She is so funny and quite sure of her dancing abilities!! By the way partment means partner in her language.

Ok so I finally did it. I am officially a blogger. And I use to So make fun of people who did it! I guess our big news for the week is that Ella Grace got her ears pierced!! She is such a big girl now!! It took an hour at Libby Lu's to talk her into it even though she begged to get it done. But they were so patient and SO good with her.



I took her took work with me to an Assisted Living facility and she asked me why nobody there could walk good because they all use walkers or wheel chairs and then she told me one of the ladies faces was really wrinkly! She is so outspoken!



And my other news is that my neighbor got an English Mastif and Ella Grace and I have taken over the dog. He is 9 weeks and HUGE already. I want one!!
